Come home to yourself in nature.
Rest Is Sacred is a 90-minute restorative gathering created for Black women to slow down, soften, and reconnect with themselves in the quiet beauty of the redwoods.
Through restorative yoga, forest bathing, crystal bowl sound healing, and community connection, you'll be invited to step away from the demands of daily life and into a space where nothing is required of you but your presence.
Your Experience
A gentle journey through rest, nature, sound, and connection.

Restorative Yoga
Fully supported, prop-based resting poses that invite the body to soften and deeply rest.
Forest Bathing
A gentle, guided immersion in the redwoods that invites you to slow down and reconnect through the senses.
Crystal Bowl Sound Healing
Vibrational sound offered to support relaxation, stillness, and inner listening.
Community Connection
Time to arrive together, reflect, and share in a space created with Black women at its center.

Before You Come
What to Bring
If you have them, please bring a yoga mat and yoga blanket for your comfort. Mats and blankets will be available for those who need them. You may also want to bring water and any additional layers that help you feel comfortable outdoors.
Getting There
We'll gather at Huddart Park in Woodside. Parking is free and located right next to the picnic area, so you won't need to carry your belongings far.
Accessibility & Comfort
The gathering area is easily accessible, with restrooms nearby. Our practices will be gentle and adaptable, with no previous experience in yoga, meditation, forest bathing, or sound healing needed.
Dress for the Redwoods
Wear comfortable clothing and layers appropriate for the weather. Since much of our time will be spent resting outdoors, warmth and comfort matter more than workout clothes.
